Pacific Graduate School of Psychology announces a new Master's degree program in Forensic and Correctional Mental Health Counseling (MHC)and a Certificate Program in Forensic and Correctional Psychology.If you are seeking graduate training and want to concentrate your studies in forensic and correctional psychology, the MHC program may be right for you. If you already have a master’s degree and wish to gain additional training in forensic and correctional psychology, the Certificate Program was designed to meet your goals.

MA in Forensic & Correctional Psychology

The unique blended format of the program is designed for students seeking to advance their careers, but wanting to study, train, and practice in their home communities. The majority of the program is delivered online through the use of internet, teleconferencing, and multimedia technologies. Clinically oriented, skill-based classes are held in residence at PGSP's Redwood City, California, campus. PGSP will work with students to secure quality practicum and internship opportunities in their home communities.

The program consists of 90 quarter hours and can be completed in either 3 or 4 years. The curriculum was designed to be compatible with licensing laws in most jurisdictions. Potential students should consult their states' licensing laws for details.

The program culminates with a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and is ideal for students wishing to provide clinical services within forensic and correctional settings.

Certificate in Forensic & Correctional Psychology

The Certificate program is a one year online program designed for working professionals who already have a master's degree or higher in a social services discipline (e.g., psychology, counseling, social work) who seek advanced knowledge in forensic and correctional psychology. The program is ideal for mental health professionals who work in forensic or correctional environments or want to secure employment in those settings. The curriculum is designed to impart the knowledge, skills, and abilities critical for working with offender populations.
